Common Core Curriculum Maps

Using Google Sites, I created a template that is applicable across all grades and subjects. Trainings were held on both how to use this template and how to map their curriculum. Teachers at Waynesfield-Goshen then used this template to create a basic map. Below is the tutorial form map creation that was embedded into the curriculum maps.  View the curriculum maps here

Skype in the Classroom

As a part of my 7th grade library research class at Waynesfield-Goshen Local Schools we studied National Parks.  Although, I couldn't take my middle school on a field trip to Yellowstone National Park, we did the next best thing- we Skyped with Ranger Beth a Park Ranger from Yellowstone.  Students learned about the unique wildlife including bears, elk, moose, wolves and bison.  We also learned about the many different educational choices that can bring you to a position in a National Park.  This was an amazing experience for my students!  Being able to bring your questions straight to the source is second to none!

Board of Education Presentation at Waynesfield-Goshen Local Schools

In April 2011, I gave a presentation to the Board of Education regarding technology use at Waynesfield-Goshen Local Schools.  This presentation outlined my time at WGLS, programs and software used as well as the amount of use.  To view a pdf version of this presentation click here
